Who and What is SPLL?
The Mystic Krewe for the Preservation of Lagniappe in Louisiana (doing business as SPLL - Society for the Preservation of Lagniappe in Louisiana) is a 501-C-3 non-profit corporation in the state of Louisiana. Its purpose is to undertake, develop, support and operate charitable, cultural and educational activities to unite all segments of the Baton Rouge community in the promotion of preserving and enhancing Baton Rouge and Louisiana traditions. SPLL is administered by a Board of Directors and sponsors 3 annual fundraisers. The Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade, Ball and Golf Tournament. All proceeds, after expenses, are donated to local charities.
Membership in SPLL is available to any person.
Annual dues are $25 and are dedicated to local charities and dispersed at the annual meeting. SPLL members are invited to the annual meeting/charity donation/parade awards event and will receive notification of other gatherings throughout the year through the SPLL electronic newsletter. Parading Krewes MUST have at least one current SPLL member to receive a parade invitation. SPLL membership DOES NOT GUARANTEE tickets or a table to the annual ball, but does put you on the priority list above the general public.

WHY Pink and better yet why Pink Flamingos? "Bad taste is better than no taste at all." Right?
