2007 Ball

OK, I know it's early and I hope I'm not really jumping the gun here, but I was just wondering what the chances are of the ball being in the same place next year. This was my first ball so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but I just thought that the River Center was really a great place and had lots of room. I think the section that ST had was a better area than where the other ball that was the same night....seems like the atmosphere was better. Anyone agree that can compare or know the chances of it being there again? Thanks!

I agree that this was the best location ever in the past 10 balls that I have been to. music was off the chart, smoking and restrooms were abundant and close, and there was enough room to dance, socialize and have fun without being shoulder to shoulder. I would also like to see it there next year. Really do not know of another location here in Baton Rouge that could hold a Spanish Town Ball with a crowd of 3000+ people.

You can mark your calenders for Sat . Feb. 3 ,2007 in the same hall as 2006.The contracts have been signed and its offical.
Now, who do you want to hear play? Me I want Delbert McClinton and Marcia Ball.

I think a high energy big band with lots of horns might be more fun. The "Dirty Dozen Brass Band" or the "Michael Foster Project" would be great. Or for a more traditional New Orleans sound, The Charmain Neville Band is wonderful.

I LOVE Rockin Doopsie !! Especially for Mardi Gras - he always plays the crowd to get um on their feet ..
