"My name is Billie George (Marine Mom) and my son is a United States Marine. He will be arriving back to the states on or around the 8th of February. His unit was deployed to Afghanistan in October of 2010. My son will be home for leave from the 1st to the 15th of March. He is so excited that he is finally old enough and home to go to Mardi Gras. He will be bringing the only three Marines beside himself that survived from his unit on this deployment. If you could find a place for them on one of the floats in your parade, this would be awesome!!! I would volunteer for any job you can use me for, make our own float, or whatever my be necessary to help these young men feel truely honored. Thank yopu for considering my request."
