Sounds like complaints will have to be made to DPW about the damage or defacing of public property when the shamrocks are painted on the public streets. Would there failure to act to remove the shamrocks be a discrimination suit.
Wait, PUBLIC PROPERTY? Are we not part of the public that through our taxes provided the funding to own and maintain those city streets. What is defacing about painting a street pink. Did we paint the traffic control devices. No we did not touch any white marking that were installed by DWP. All that was painted was the street. I guess that if the street was bricked in pink that DPW would have had to paint the street black.
Actually, if you look at the pink and white markings before and after they were repainted black, I think that you would have to agree that the pedestrian cross walk was more visiable before it was repainted black. Isn't that why they put down the white marking to begin with? To make the pedestrial cross walk more visible to drivers.
Krewe out for fun
Always looking for that next pink encounter
