    • A Second Line to "March" to the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade. Don't miss out on the fun!!  The Second Line is intended to form up at 10:00 AM at the corner of 6th Street and University Walk.  The "March" will then go to the Capital Grocery Store then continue to the starting block for the Parade.  Everyone is invited to join in.

    • This is NOT part of the "official" Parade and is an independent function setup by Bill Good.

    • The Judge's Bribery Dinner will be at Roux House, 143 3rd Street, on Thursday January 31st from 7:15 PM - 10:00 PM.  As always this is your opportunity to come bribe the judges to yours hearts desire. They will have open minds, pockets and hands, make the most of it and put your Krewe foremost in their minds!!

    • More photos will be posted as they are submitted, keep checking back.  If you have great photos you'd like to share please submit them.  Instruction for submitting are at the bottom of the Photo Section.

    • Don't forget to review the Ball Page for decorating guidelines, container restrictions and other details.
    • If you or someone you know still need Ball tickets you can show up at the Baton Rouge River Center between 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM during decorating times, someone usually has extra tickets at that time.

    • The 2008 Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade Judges have been announced!  They are:  Phil Cangelosi, Jay Dardenne, Julie Baxter, Cathy Childers and Elizabeth McNulty - Miss Louisiana 2007.

    • The Official 2008, "Flamingeaux Phil Predicts", Spanish Town Mardi Gras T-Shirts and Tank Tops are now available though the Online Store.  Individual SPLL Board Members also have shirts for sale.

    • Table Decorating before the Ball:  You can decorate your tables before the ball, the hall will open at 10:30 AM and will close at promptly 4:30 PM.  No one is allowed in the loading dock area without a pass.  You can drop off your things in the front then go park in the B-2 Garage.  The tables are 6 feet in diameter (round).  You may bring your ice chest at the time of decorating and store them underneath the table, no Styrofoam allowed.  Please keep in mind there will be no utilities (electricity) available for decorations on your table, plan accordingly.  No stapling into the tables or table clothes.  You will not be allowed to have open flames or helium balloons.  Also keep in mind that you can't use anything that would pose a fire or safety hazard, get creative.
    • The Driver's Safety Meeting on January 31st will be in rooms 5 & 6, upstairs in the same building as the Ball.

    • The Spanish Town Mardi Gras Driver's Safety Meeting will be held on January 31, 2008 at the River Center. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM, it is suggested that you arrive around 6:30 PM.  More info and the room location will be announced later. A cash bar will be available.
