    • The Annual SPLL Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 20th, at The Roux House (143 3rd St. - downtown) at 7:00 PM. Charity donations and Parade awards will be given out.  See About Us for more information on SPLL.

    • Thanks to each and every Flocker for making the 2007 Spanish Town Mardi Gras season one to remember!

    • 2007 Ball and Parade photos have been added to the Photos section, new ones will be added as they are submitted.

    • Information on entering the 2008 Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade: The SPLL Board Members allow existing Krewes to re-enter the Parade each year. If there are openings for new Krewes an announcement will then be made on the website, near the end of the year, giving instructions on how/when new Krewe applications will be taken. SPLL Board Members will then choose from the applicants and fill any open positions.

    • Don't miss the "End of the Season Sale" at the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Online Store! All remaining 2006 shirts have been marked down to $5.00 and all remaining 2007 shirts have been marked down to $10.00. Once sold out they will not be restocked.

  • February 16, 2007

    • There have been lots of questions about the Parade route because some websites had it wrong.  OUR PARADE MAP is correct, see below!  The main arteries into Spanish Town Road, North Street and 4th street will be closing down by 10:00 am.  If you need specific roads and times please call the police dept., they can give you that information.

    • Location and time CHANGES to The Judge's Bribery Dinner,  it will now be held at The Roux House.  It's still on Thursday February 15th, but now between 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM.  Nothing has changed about what you should have in mind though... this is your opportunity to come bribe the judges to yours hearts desire. They will have open minds, pockets and hands, make the most of it and put your Krewe foremost in their minds!!  The 2007 Spanish Town Mardi Gras Judges are:  Phil Cangelosi, Jay Dardenne, Katherine Anders, David Norwood, Martin Flannigan, Sonny Cranch & Derek Gordon.

    • REMINDERS:

      • Driver's Safety Meeting:  Wednesday, February 7th at Casino Rouge starting at 6:30 PM.  Safety rules, lineup procedures, and parade numbers will be handed out at this meeting.  It is MANDATORY that someone from the Parading Krewe attends!

      • The Judge's Bribery Dinner will be at Avoyelles Café on Thursday February 15th, 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM.  As always this is your opportunity to come bribe the judges to yours hearts desire. They will have open minds, pockets and hands, make the most of it and put your Krewe foremost in their minds!!

    • The first of the 2007 Spanish Town Mardi Gras Ball Photos have been posted in the Photos section.

    • IMPORTANT LAST MINUTE ALERT:  NO STYROFOAM ICE CHEST (CONTAINERS) WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE HALL AT THE BALL TONIGHT.  SPREAD THE WORD!

    • The Official 2007, "Quit Flocking Around and Pink Your Own Theme", Spanish Town Mardi Gras Tank Tops has been added to the Store.  We also have The Official 2006 & 2007 T-Shirts available.

      BALL REMINDERS:

    • Table Decorating:  You can decorate your tables on February 03, from 10:30 am - 4:30 pm.  Free parking will be available at this time in the B2 garage on St Phillips St off of Government St.  No one is allowed in the loading dock area without a pass.  You can drop off your things in the front then go park.  The tables are 6 feet in diameter (round), you may bring your ice chest at the time of decorating and store them underneath the table.  Please keep in mind there will be no utilities (electricity) available for decorations on your table, plan accordingly.  No stapling into the tables or table clothes.  You will not be allowed to have open flames or helium balloons.  Also keep in mind that you can't use anything that would pose a fire or safety hazard, get creative!

    • NO Kegs or Portable Bars allowed!  You are allowed to bring your ice chest (with your "drink of choice" and food).

    • Re-admittance:  The River Center is a smoke free building.  There will be re-admittance to the Ball so you can go outside to River Road or upstairs to the Parking Garage level to smoke, however there is a No Drinking Ordinance in the city which will be enforced, no drinks will be allowed outside.

    • Parking:  Paid parking will be available in the two adjacent Parking Garages (East Garage and West Garage), street parking is also available around Beauregard Town.
