- **Flessie has been recovered!** A huge thank you to everyone who shared the information and helped bring him home!!
- On the evening of Saturday February
14th, after the parade, Flessie was stolen
from the back of a black Dodge truck! He is an
iconic symbol of SPLL and Spanish Town Mardi Gras.
Flessie was restored and brought back to the parade this
year. He is shown in the photo below and is approximately
10' tall and was displayed at the Judges stand.
Because of the size of Flessie, persons committing this crime had to have been seen by someone as it was taken away from the downtown area. If you know where Flessie may be or know of someone who does, please contact Baton Rouge police 225-389-3800 (report File# 14311-15) or send the information you have to us through the website's contact form.
If returned no questions will be asked!!!! Please spread the word and help get Flessie returned to where he belongs!

- The 2015 Spanish Town Mardi
Gras MANDATORY Driver’s and Safety Meeting will be
held Wednesday, February 11th, 7:00 PM at The Roux
House located downtown at 143 N. Third Street.
Discussion will be the parade route, lineup procedures,
safety guidelines, and hand out float numbers. The driver
and Krewe captain MUST be present.
This is an important meeting as the new route will be explained along with how to approach the staging area. All floats should approach the staging area from the North down River Road either via Choctaw Drive or Chippewa. This is a MUST as there is construction along river road. No floats will be allowed to come down Government Street to River Road. Floats attempting to use Government street will be turned around.
